P.imperator molt

My Emperor molted a few weeks back and I discovered the molt yesterday. Evidently he was cleaning out his hide and decided to get rid of his old skin:

I find it odd how the chela are intact. I guess the skin is kinda stretchy and leathery when they are molting? How did he slip out of it and leave it so perfect?

Nice pictures , i never get to see any good molts of my emps , Most of them are about 10 inches under the soil

About scorpion's age...

Is there a way to know about scorpion's age? I have a new emp. and have its CITES certificate. It was written as permit date: 18/06/2004 but i don't think it is the date of birth.
My emp is about 6-8 cm long from head to end of tail.

I don't know how much it changed it's skeleton.
