Has anyone had a T that died of old age? What were the symptoms? I got my first T, an adult female rosie, that died after 4 years. She just ate less and less and kind of shrunk away.

This has been my experience, too. Having had a disproportionate number of male tarantulas (seems like it, anyway!), I have likewise seen a number of old age deaths, and it usually takes the form of a gradual shrinking and slowing down process, apart from those rare specimens who attempt a post-ultimate molt and die on their backs.
