I remember reading somewhere that tenebrio molitor can be a vector for possible parasite infections. any info would be greatly appreciated since my dog just helped herself to a mealworm snack. the mealworms in question were bought from a pet store. i cant seem to find the site that i read this from so please help.

Hi!
There are many papers written on this very subject. The adult and larval stages are vectors for intermediate parasites, Gregarines etc.
Do a search on Google as many of these papers are available online.
Your question about your dog is a head scratcher. If he injested a parasite already in the "infectious" stage and canines were next stage hosts, then yes there is a possibility of transmission. But I will admit I have never heard of that particular circumstance. This would be a good time to pick up the phone and call the Vet just to be safe.
