I have a fully matured colony of lats now. I was wondering how long do the eggs take to hatch? I see several eggs but no babies running around. They just started laying them about a week or two ago.

I don't actually know the incubation time because they are always laying them and they hatch all the time it seems like. What I do know is that when I kept them in dry-ish circumstance and without substrate I got zero babies. The egg cases dry up. They need a moist-ish environment and a warm one to hatch.

If I were to guess the incubation period I'd say like three weeks or so.

Ok, that would explain why I dont have any babies yet. There are about 4 -5 cases that I can see. They haven't been in there very long at all. I have substrate that I spray every other day to keep it nice and moist. I use heat rope to keep them nice and warm. They are all molting great, so I would imagine that the cases shouldn't dry out.
