It's been a long time since I've posted something here in the boards. I've been in the hobby for at least a year and a half now, and I've always used eco earth/coco peat as substrate for both enclosures of my G. pulchripes (T) and H. longimanus (scorpion).

I found this topsoil at the local plant store near me and I'm wondering if it's safe to mix it with coco peat? Mainly because I want to replicate the natural color of forest floor for my H. longimanus' substrate..

Generally speaking most people try to avoid using substrate with compost in it for their inverts.

Use plain top soil, without any kind of aditives.
