Is something wrong?

My emperor scorpion has not eaten in months. Is it regular for them to fast this long? It's only about 3.5 or so inches maybe 4 tops. It seems interested at first, and will make an attempt to catch the crix i put in, but it never actuallly catches and eats any. Any idea what's up?

Hi Bob,
It happens males eat rarely, even months. Suitable temperature and humidity, and no stres. Or he prepare to molt, I don't know.
Also you can try to change the food. Try with worms (mealworms, superworms, etc) if he don't want eat roaches.

Some pics might help to get an answer. Also, what are the conditions it is kept in(substrate, temps, humidity, type of shelter, depth of substrate, etc....).

this happened with my male emperor. Ate 5 crickets in the first few weeks then didnt eat for another year......live, prekilled, u name it, i tried it
