My favorite roach is acting very strange. She usually enjoys being held and hanging out with me. Today she is barely moving and releasing a lot of liquid from her mouth. It smells sort of vinegary. Her head is tilted like this when she’s doing it. I made a few recent changes to their cage. I removed their substrate and started giving them flukers cricket quencher so they wouldn’t drown (there are new babies in the cage now). Please help.

I'm new to keeping roaches myself, but from the information I found, the liquid she's spitting is saliva. not much is known about the substance, but they'll cough it up when in distress.

If she's in a colony, I would recommend separating her and keeping an eye on her. Maybe she's sick? It could just be the lighting, but her exoskeleton looks a bit strangely colored.
