sorry for the bad pics but I bought this little guy 2 weeks ago.The pet store I ordered it for had it labled creeping scorp.It's only about 2.5inches and realy fiesty.What do you think it is?

Opistopthalmus sp. I'd say. No idea which species in the genus though. Then again, I could be wrong altogether!

yea, if it can hiss, then its Opistopthalmus sp

if it cant, then it may be Scorpio maurus (from Morocco i believe?)

there are lots of subspecies of S.maurus

the one Xerotolerance posted "looks like" one of the Israeli versions: S.maurus palmatus


the one originally posted looks like a Moroccan variety, should it actually be S.maurus

as you can see, if you view all the pics, the colours shown in the photo point to S.maurus (Morocco), or perhaps O.bohemi

Creeping scorpion is a 'common' name sometimes used to describe Opistocanthus (sp?) asper. These tend to have dark bodies and pale legs, but as with any species this varies. To be honest god close ups would be required to even attempt an accurate i.d.
