Hi,
In my opinion a Hottentotta species...
Possibly H. hottentotta.

H.trilineatus is yellow.......

H.hottentotta is brown, and much bigger ( i think)

im with Chris on this one, H.h IMO

Hi,

yes, it looks like a H. hottentotta but IDing Hottentotta spp by pics is almost impossible to my opinion.

Apart from the colour and size difference (which can vary from specimen to specimen and regions of origin I guess) as pointed by G. Carnell, what would be the anatomical differences between H. hottentotta et H. trilineatus ? I read on P. Bultel's site that H. trilineatus usually has a bump right under the stinger, are there others that I might see (with a magnifier if needed !) ?

Hi,

I guess that´s the best way to find out if it´s H. hottentotta or trilineatus/polystictus/emini. But if it has a tubercle, it´ll get really difficult to determine the species.
