Id Help - Opistophthalmus sp.

I am seeking input from the more knowledgable than me on scorps. This is probably most everyone on the forum. :worship:

I bought a scorpling (2nd instar) from a local dealer and I have a picture of one of the "parents." I don't have the "parent" scorp so other pictures aren't available.

My guesses based on reviewing info at the scorpion files are: O. lamorali or O. pugnax.

I have also posted a couple of pics of the scorpling as well. I apologize for the mediocre pictures.

hi,
looks like a Cheloctonus jonesii

from the 1st pic.. the prosoma is definately Liochelidae

(i could be wrong though)

Wow, thanks a ton Gary. I will continue researching. From the photos on Scorpion Files that looks like a very likely contender.

I will also search the forum for c. jonesii and do some checking there.
