Hissers mite removal !

I've noticed lately that my hissers are getting a few mites on there backs, a couple seem to have a lot. So I've started preening them! I've been using a damp artist paint brush dipped in water and then a prince in a glass to get them off. When my hissers are basking I seem to be able to get rid of quite a few.
Anyone else as weird as me ?

Use salt water, I heard that it works well. Also get some springtails.
