I'd like to know of your favorite species in this genus and why. :)
I'd also like to know which species can be kept communally, which one's cannot, and which ones I might be able to keep communally. Also, which species are easy/not too hard to obtain in the U.S.?
Basically, that's all I need to know about keeping them as "pets". Oh yes, and post some pics! I love pictures. ;)

Heterometrus madraspatensis is probably my favorite species in the genus. They are very colorful for a Heterometrus. They are black with yellow legs and a red telson. They are rare in the U.S. though.

Here is a old thread that has pics of several Heterometrus species. http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?213610-Very-rare-Heterometrus-sp.

Are Heterometrus longimanus communal?
Yes, they are.

Also, which species are easy/not too hard to obtain in the U.S.?
H. spinifer are the most common Heterometrus available in the U.S. Other species are more difficult to find.
