I recently got my lovely A. Australis not to long ago and in the meantime I put him into a 10 gallon tank because that's all I had at the time (mind you he's a 3i). I stacked a red rock slate ontop of a regular piece of red rock, which he made an extensive burrow under the slate. I need to transfer him because of course his abode is way to big for him. Do I leave him be, or do I just transfer him anyway?

Up to you.

I've left some in the same tank for a long time. They grow into it lol.

If you need the tank then transfer it.

I use sterlite contaiers with holes drilled, and nuts and bolts on either end to lock. They are about the size of a shoebox.

Whatever you do just ensure that the tank is locked, and escape proof if knocked over; using a "double-tank" is recommended, considering your dealing with a very dangerous creature.
