Hi Everyone,
I just found a really cool website where you can help California State digitalize insect records! So basically they have about 1 MILLION insect specimens (some go back as far as 1880) that need digitalized. They have pictures of all the insects/labels, so all you have to do is enter in the information you see. But "WARNING" this can be very addicting! I found this website yesterday and I have already transcribed over 100 records...
A lot of the insects were collected in California, but many are from other states and even other countries. I've transcribed some from China, Peru, Mexico, India, ect.
So check it out, it is a fun pastime, AND you get to be a part of insect research!
