Foelix (1996) states "spiders have a "closed" arterial system, no capillaries, and an open venous system."SeekneSs said:
Very simply put the heart is dorsally located pushing hemolymph through the aorta passing through the pedicel into arteries located throughout the cephalothorax. Arteries also branch out from the heart to cover the abdomen and its tissues. Blood leaves arteries passes through open hemocoel and back to heart via the booklungs. :? Its late. I hope I am making sense...
Arteries also branch out into the tarsa which can be a big problem if one decides to help a T and removes a leg in just the wrong place!
Anyway, dont mind me, loved the video!
