My Hapalopus sp large layed an egg sack. I have two one definitely hooked out into a male and the other one I didn’t know was a female till I guess now that she laid an egg sack. I actually thought they would of been a little bigger the male is about 2.5 and the female about 3 inches. I didn’t even think she was matured yet. I’m assuming it has to be without a doubt a phantom sack because they are in separate enclosures but right next to each other. I had both separated when they were 1/8 inch. What should I do as far as the sack just leave it with her or should I remove it? Why do they lay phantom egg sacks? I thought something was up because she almost completely covered the top lid with web and substrate.

Tons of threads on this…it’s gotta be phantom if she’s never been paired and you raised her up from a sling. You can leave it and she might eat it or you can pull it
