It's not their agitation you have to worry about, it's their stress level. She likely stayed still because motion attracts predators and she didn't want to end up prey. Don't poke/touch/prod/brush/another word for make contact with your Ts out of curiosity. I'm sure you'd be rather perturbed if someone walked up to you, grabbed your face, held your eye lid open and was like "brown. I was curious, but they're brown.
