Curious about this one as well... I'm not big on scorps, but I do have a large Heterometrus spinifer that I've ventrally sexed as male. I haven't heard any rules about lifespan in scorpions, so It'd be nice if someone would enlighten us!
Mostly yes...its my experience of my own animals. But sometimes Males live very long. It depends on your skillz and how often you mate the female ;-)!
For these reasons I do hibernation and i keep the males little bit colder.
Yes, males live for the same time as females. Not only that, but the males are only slightly different from females in terms of body size, with males being slightly skinnier, having longer legs, a longer tail, and larger pincers, but despite this still somehow being worse at fighting. You'd think they'd be better. But yeah there's no need to worry about having a male
