I collected some of these recently for a friend as part of a trade. I would like to know the basic care for this species until I’m able to send it to him.
This is for blue deaths you have rough deaths... Care is pretty much same! Just search up blue death feighing beetle care, and use that care for these!
You can’t get any easier than desert darkling beetles. Empty container with some sand or dry coco fiber and maybe a few pieces of cholla logs or coco bark and you’re basically done. Room temp is fine amd they don’t need mich moisture and usually get it from their food but you can gice them a small bowl/gatorade cap with some water inside. They will eat almost anything from baby carrots(they will go absolutely nuts for those) to dog food. I used to feed mine leftover cricket remains from my mantids and they took to them with great gusto. They can’t really bite, don’t seem to mind handling, and are great for any insect keeper.
