Today I woke up, went to the bathroom and found this spider in the washbasin...
Do you know what kind of spider is this? It's about an inch or so..

Thanks,
Bothrops

P.S.: I'm from Argentina.

Looks like a Gnaphosa sp.
Thanks for your reply!

I really have no idea what spider it could be, I just know that it's very aggressive and tried to bite me when I caught it, lol

I like Gnaphosa as a guess but it is lacking the characteristic spinneret size/shape. That being said, seeing the eye pattern would be a huge help for IDing.

Thanks.. take a close up like that it's almost impossible with my camera. The spider is too small.

This is 'the best' pic I could take (sorry, I know it's very bad quality)

The eyepattern is not really discernable on the pictuers, to much dust.
I think it has six eyes arranged in two triangles.
The pattern on the opisthosoma is very characteristic, too.

That's a Segestria sp. (Segestriidae)!

Cheers

Thanks a lot!

I was viewing some photos of Segestria spp. in google and they are pretty similar.

Besides, I checked the WSC and it seems that the only species of Segestria present in Argentina is Segestria ruficeps , but I didn't find any photos.

Thanks again & Happy New Year! :}
