The whole second level of my house just had the woodframes varnished, inclduing my room where i keep my scorps. Is this going to be hazardous to them if they are exposed to these fumes for a prolonged time? I know they have book lungs or somehting but idk how that affects their respiratort abilities. I just want to make sure they are gonna be ok

No clue if it would affect them or not, but to be safe I'd completely cover the tank for a little while until the smell eases up a little.

Could potentially be bad...I'd remove them from there for a few days.

The smell of varnish can be reduced by placing a tray of charcoal or activated carbon in your scorp room. Carbon absorbs the toxic fumes.
