Common lizard, neat pics...

I know anoles are common sights, but it was neat seeing them out basking in December. Guess they were out catching a few rays and bugs before it got cold again. I've never seen so many around my house before. This guy even posed for the camera :)

cool pictures! I remember when I was a little kid (a LONG time ago!) going to the local fair and a guy was selling anoles tethered to a string on a cork board. I can still remember him saying "yea, they eat crackers.....easy to care for!" I don't remember how long I had the anole but it was the first reptile I ever had.
what was the temp outside when you took those pictures?

It was probably in the low 60's...its been warm today here.

Friend of mine has an aquarium in his back yard that is turned over - the anoles have managed to get underneath and into it and use it as a little greenhouse for warming themselves. Its kind of funny. :)

I love living in a southern state... I caught a leopard frog the other day while walking my dogs.
