At about what size does the black/grey color difference become evident in suntigers? Is this a fairly reliable way of sexing them?
The change only take place in the male and only in there maturing molt, it will happen when they are around 4"-4-1/2" and then after the molt they will be about 5"-5-1/2" most of there new growth will be there legs, they will lost there orange and be a grayish green, so basically if you have a suntiger @ 5" and still has it orange it is most likely a female, other than that they pretty much have to be sexed like any other T.
