Ok so I know they are a type of mite, I'm just not sure if they are the carnivorous kind or the benign type. These have just popped up in some millipede enclosures, with didn't seem to be a problem but then I found them in two beetle larvae enclosures with the occupants dead [emoji20]. I just need to know if I should be worried. These pictures are the best I can do, I hope they are enough uploadfromtaptalk1428249421981.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1428249463940.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1428249497684.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1428249520387.jpg

I don't know much about mite identification, but I would clean out the enclosures just to be safe and add some springtails. I typically go at mites with the mentality of if they show up in large numbers, they will be a threat and should be eliminated.

The interesting part is they live with a healthy population of spring tail, I'm gonna change substrate just to be safe

Eupodids, harmless, and actually beneficial in most enclosures, they eat fungi.
