Hey guys,

I'd just like some feedback on the following species in this genre, how they should be kept etc.

Species involved include:
B.Castroi
B.Scioscia
B.Negrei
B. sp. "Atacama"

I've heard they are from Chile and like to be kept quite dry but can anyone expand on this...

How dry, is a water dish required?
How big do they get?
Venom Potency?

Thanks
Ricki

love the spider shop:D :worship:
i got castroi and negrei
yes for water dish but low humidity, 50ish
castroi is about 3 inches, negrei about 2, no idea if adult
both like to dig so deepish substrate but will dig a scrape under a hide
venom potency is thought to be low but i dont plan on trying out that theory:D
dont know bout the rest tho
hope this helps

keep them dry, probably dry coco fibre/sand mix. also keep them at a lower temperature than other scorpion species, around 70 - 75. this genera is more sensitive to temps and humidity than other scorrpion species.

and no described Brachistosternus Sp. are listed as medically important, so the venom can't be too bad. try it out for us. :)
