I need a cheap easy to optain species, probably go with H.spinifer.. I have a pretty gravid LQ also, but I heard they will cannabalise during molting so that dont help me.

Hmm no one mentioned death stalkers. Well in that case I cast my vote for LQ. Best communal species I've ever owned. You treated it with respect and they'll treat you with respect. Very easy to breed and if you get enough of them they are pretty active. Indivially though pretty boring.

I have always wanted to try this are they ok in a pair in say a 2.5 gallon???

I have 6 Androctonus Crassicaudas and all are fine together. I have also heard the Andro Austraelis is also highly communal, but both are probably capable of cannibalism if hungry.

I'd go with a minumum of 5 gallons.

I'm with Eddy on this, go with the bigger tanks since these Lq's are one of the bigger species of scorpions.

They normally like to share hides and burrows but I usually say 2 per 5 gallon is fine 3 would be pushing it.
