Beetle help

Anyone ,
Who has raised Blue death beetles? What can you tell me about them ? Raising, feeding and breeding.What about life span?

I've kept them for only about 9 months. Keep dry, provide a hide, feed carrots, other root vegetables. Will occasionally munch on dog food/fruits, but generally ignore. They are quite hardy, active and make great photo subjects. Lifespan I don't know for sure, but the rumor is that they live much longer than your average beetle.
