Please help my sex this B smithi
That's an odd angle, but I'll say male. Can you take a picture farther away? I don't think that will change my mind, but I am curious what a farther away picture looks like.
I would say male. The dense patch of setae forming just above the epigastric furrow screams male. The females do not get a dark setae patch in this area but they will still have setae. I have taken your photo and added a highlight for the area I am talking about. Typically resembling a crescent moon shape, almost pure black in color, and very definitive. I am sure this area will darken after it molts at least once or twice more. The angle couldn't be any better as far as I'm concerned.
The T is about 4-5 inches in size, so my guess next molt will be a MM??
Id say 2 more molts maybe 3 if he is going to be a big boy.. I have a 5.5" male that is not mature yet.
Looks male to me as well
