Ant colony ideas?

Hi all, i need some info on ant farms, i've decided im going to do it! i've been drawn towards the ant works blue gel things coz they look really cool but am a bit undecided as heard they dont work very well, any info would be much appreciated! Thanks

I'm not aware of the product you're talking about, so I can't help you there. If you want to start a colony though, you would want to find a queen. They aren't exactly easy to dig up usually, but if you go out during breeding season you can collect the mating pairs of flying ants.

Dont get the gel farm its not good for the ants id get a queen and put her in a testtube setup.
