I think we have them out in CO, too. I swear one of these guys flew into my car one night when I was driving down the highway.

DEFINITELY a burrowing owl, and they are most active during the day....

Thats really cool! I was gunna say burrowing owl too!

We have little western screech owls here! One flew into our house one evening and landed on my babys head!!! She got some scratches on her head and I picked it up off of her head and got some cool pics and let it go! :D

People need to do more to help preserve owls, you never see them or hear them anymore like you used to. Its pretty sad, they are such beautiful and fascinating creatures.

We have a Great Horned Owl thats been living around our property for afew years, also had a nesting pair of red-tailed hawks on our land. They either moved out when we whent from alfalfa to corn/soybeans afew years back or they just died.
