So I am receiving tomorrow a pair of African twig mantis (don't know if they're adults) and I wanted to know if they can be kept communal. Also if anyone can tell me where I can get a good choice of praying mantids that I can buy online, thanks.

Almost all mantids are cannibals, I wouldn't keep them communally at all. The mantis species I think is the least cannibalistic is the Phyllocria paradoxa (ghost mantis). Most other species will cannibalize on one another though.

Bugsincyberspace.com carries mantis and I've bought from him multiple times
I've seen moonlightmantids.com a few times but never ordered from there. Mantisplace.com also carries a large selection of mantis, although I think they're they're priciest. You couldn't go wrong by going to expos either though. I've seen species there that i haven't been able to find online. The classifieds here on the boards are also probably a pretty good place to put up a "want to buy" ad.
