I have been feeding my Paruroctonus xanthus small roach nymphs. But he seems hungry, what would be a good size of food, compared to size of the scorpion?
Don't be afraid to feed them something bigger. This is my P Transvaalicus eating an adult female red runner almost the same size as itself if not a tad larger. Some scorps will shy away from larger prey. I don't have experience with paruractonos but try a medium roach or small (not nymph) roach
Try different sizes. I know my scorpions can easily take on a roach their size and even twice their size. I normally feed my scorpions roaches/crickets half the scorpions length (stinger to head for me) and that seems to do the trick. Good luck.
