Agreed.. I would advise against putting a 1/2 inch sling in a 15 gallon tank. Finding food is going to be the biggest problem.. you sling will probably find a spot and never leave a 4 inch radius. The next thing is the heater. To quote Stan Schultz (author of the Tarantula Keeper's Guide)...
Krystal, she had at that time already placed another order. Also, the T was alive and well when it arrived. It died the next day, or two days later, so since she was already ordering again, I said I'd send another one to her free of charge.
Sorry to hear that. I don't know how long you had it, but it could have had an internal parasite, and had nothing to do with humidity or anything else you can control. Thats not uncommon in WC T's. :(
LaRiz,
Thats an absolute beauty. I tried to order the one that Vince had, but was told that it was sold the day before I called. Day late and a dollar short.. story of my life ;) Anyway, Joel is the one who beat me to it, so I can't hold a grudge. Do us a favor and post pics of that...
P. murinus ranges from a very dry climate to a monsoonish climate. Some pple actually do keep them in high humidity enclosures. That is a bit off topic though, regarding humidity levels for the T. blondi.. Code is correct. They can be kept very successfully in low humidity setups. I keep...
Definately at room temp. I have a ceramic digital heater (think 20 bucks at walmart) that keeps the room between 70-80 degrees depending on winter or summer. I have a large number of T's, so heat pads for all of them is both unnecessary (when the room is anywhere between 70-80F they will be...

Re: ><
Hi Vayu Son. Unfortunately, they are banned in some places. There is at least an entire county (and i believe several cities, but can't back that up- just have heard it from local stores that question where you live before purchasing a T) here in VA that has them banned. Banned is...
Hi, the first pic I posted is mine, and definately not a E rufescens, its a E. murinus. The second pic is actually an arachnopets picture of an A. seemanni. The third pic is from a french website, though I don't speak french it appears to be labelled a E murinus, dark form. I'm not positive...
I used one with one of my T. blondis for a while. I used it on a timer, and ran into a serious problem of the mist was too much for the cage. It soaks everything. Most timers run for 1 hour at a time. Within 1 hour of it running it will soak your T. so, you can build up the home higher than...
