Ok guys I took him out. He got spooked and bolted off and when he came back the drumming had stopped and she took off after him. lol, they are still going at it. It seems that when he tries to raise her up pedipalps are aimed at her abdomen. I hope he can figure it out before she gets tired of it.

Breeding GBB as we speak....Help ASAP

Ok, I might have a problem. They have been doing the drumming dance and trying to breed since about 1:00 this afternoon and it looks like the male is having a problem lifting the female. I hope after all this the male isn't too small for her.

Breeding GBB as we speak....Help ASAP

They are trying to breed right now. He is trying to coax her out of her burrow so he can lift her. Just as I wrote that he backed off so I will keep him in there over night. Both are drumming and recptive so I don't see any harm.

Breeding GBB as we speak....Help ASAP

He's doing the same thing the other male did. He's walking around the sides of the tank and now he's clung to the top. I don't know if I should just leave him alone or shark tank him again and place him right in front of her den. What do you think?

Breeding GBB as we speak....Help ASAP

Yeah.....He's in there shark tanked right now and she's showing no receptive signs yet. Im going to leave him tanked for about 2 hours and see if anything happens and if not he's outta there. How should I take care of her if she is pregnant? Change food, how often, cool down etc.?

Breeding GBB as we speak....Help ASAP

Well, Before he got it he was in there over night and there was 8-10 hours I was asleep so I guess he could've but when I woke up she was still drumming. Doesn't really mean that much because she might not have known she was "pregnant" yet. I'll try this guy a few more times. Maybe I caught her...

Alright guys, I introduced my male tonight and after an "intense" 2 hour time period he finally moved to the female (which was 1 inch in front of him) and as he put his foot on hers she took off after him but luckily he got away. Guess i'll try again tomorrow!
