    Whip Scorpion Feeding

I always fed mine, and my other inverts, shortly after lights out. They are more active then. Less chance of prey items finding hiding places.

    Urticating hair in eye?

Don't ever mess around with your eyes. I have caught a stray hair, and soldiered through it. Not a wise choice though. It is hell.

    Black Crickets As Feeder

Aside from parasites, and possible pesticides, those mandibles are much more dangerous. I have used them, but err on the side of caution. Use smaller than normal sized feeders.

    feeding crickets fish flakes

My dubias always get veggies, appropriate table scraps, chick feed, as well as turtle and fish food when I am busy or lazy. Never had an issue.

Where do you keep you T's?

My herps and inverts reside in a 10' X 12', well insulated, climate controlled shed. Even in the God forsaken tundra of NW Pennsylvania winters.

Am I the only one scared of true spiders?

Cold killing machines....but still cool as hell. One of the few spiders that when you look into their eyes, it seems like there is something intelligent looking back. If they were as big as dogs, the human race would cease to exist.

Agriope...they are gorgeous. Those webs are amazing!

Am I the only one scared of true spiders?

True spiders once bothered me. As a kid I would get freaked out in late summer, running through the fields, when the orb weavers were abundant. Covered in webs, and a big a$$ spider crawling on you was not fun. When I moved out west. I would play with black widows, but tarantulas freaked me out...

Temperature newbie here, heating/temp controlling a walk in closet bug room

I am the most paranoid person you will meet, especially about fire. Any chance of tipping, and igniting something is out for me. UL certified baseboard heater and thermostat are as close to comfort as I can get.

Temperature newbie here, heating/temp controlling a walk in closet bug room

My animals are all housed in a 10' x 12' shed. I use a 220 volt electric baseboard heater. It is controlled with a digital wall mount thermostat. Temp. remains stable even in sub zero winters. A similar set up should work in your closet. You will need to experiment with the humidity. A simple...

    Baby Damon Diadema Care help!

I would use something smaller. A tall deli cup would work for now.

    Dubia Ventilation Mesh?

I agree on the window screen. A full roll is cheap, but if you are looking to save money you can find ripped ones tossed out and cut those small pieces from them.

    Worth Breeding Mealworms?

I've never tried buffalo worms. My mealworm colonies lasted for many years. A Rubbermaid shoe box filled with Old Fashion Oats, a folded up piece of burlap on top (though not always), and a piece of carrot for hydration as needed. I'd still have them but I tossed them during a grain mite...

    Worth Breeding Mealworms?

Are you referriing to Super worms by chance? They are a PITA, but mealworms thrived under total neglect for me.

    Worth Breeding Mealworms?

I would definitely set up a colony if you use them. I rarely did, but liked having an easy to keep food source to fall back on. Very easy to raise and low maintenance. That said, they are not an ideal food source. A quick search on here, or Google, will turn up care sheets and cons of using as...
