Just seeing who all is going. I'll be selling there since last show had a decent turn out. Any other area vendors should join so we can all go eat chicken and waffles after ;)
Quick to respond to messages and quick to ship out. Great transaction, everything arrived in excellent condition. A+ if you're looking for isopods and springtails.
Some of them could be potentially the Blaniulus guttulatus. I'll just have to get better daylight photos.
I guess my next thought is, what to do with these guys? I don't think there's any room in the hobby (to sell or give away), they're incredibly small which makes them even more difficult to...
I had hoped they were not Parajulid but the "original" ones have not seemed to really increase in size after at least 6 months. Though this is my first time rearing millipedes.
I'll just have to try and get better photos to compare.
There could have been eggs in the original substrate. I did not consider that! I did dig through the original shipments to count the babies from each container and dumped that substrate into my main bin (roughly half the size of a shoebox). My basic mix is sterilized so they would have had to...
Months ago I purchased some wee bitty baby N americanus. 15 to be exact. I mean, itty bitty babies. I've "ignored" them in so far as I don't dig them out of their container. I toss in food as it appears to be needed and mist so there's always a moisture gradient.
Last night I tossed in a sliver...
Sad I missed this, my friend and I had a table (Little T Haus). Hope everyone had fun! I got my hands on a dwarf T from Pinchers & Pokies and am super stoked about it.
Cresteds are so fun! You'll have one and then suddenly 40. I had cresteds first and then got into tarantulas. Which I had one..and then suddenly 40 or so.
Actually I'm starting to see a pattern here.
People covered the basics but a quick (gross) tip- if you get a baby and it doesn't take any...
Casey was quick to respond to any message I sent, got photos of the animals for me and was able to ship out quickly! Great communication. Would purchase from again.
I don't have an answer for you but that is certainly interesting! I'm curious how long they can keep producing viable eggs. How many protonymphs do you have now (roughly)?
These were right on the side of the trail. I did pull two or so from the trail and put them to the side so they wouldn't get crushed. Sadly I recall seeing at least two who had been recently stepped on along the walk.
I'll certainly post the photos in the thread along with hopefully some new...
Oh man I didn't know I had responses to the post!
Yes I'm fairly certain these are N. americanus.
I did bring home 4 of them! One is younger and quite red. I'll post some photos of the ones I collected later. We followed the guide of taking 1 of every 4 seen ( thus leaving 3 behind ).
Two...
