As @antinous said it is a Homoeomma chilensis. A very sought after species.
How big is he/she?
If you can get a clear ventral picture we may be able to tell whether it is male or female.
@CitizensOfTheWomb thanks for the info. I posted a ventral picture in the sexing subcategory. Not sure if the picture is clear enough to tell tho. He/she has about a 3" leg span. It seems agitated lately climbing up the sides of the terrarium a lot not sure what that's about.
@KPetersen
You said you got this as a sling. Can you tell me how long it took to get this size?
I am curious as these are known to be a very slow growing species.
@CitizensOfTheWomb I've had it for right at two years now. This is my first T so I don't have much to compare it to as far as growth rate but it does seem pretty slow. It doesn't hardly ever want to eat either. It'll go months refusing food.
@KPetersen
I'm actually a bit surprised. That seems like fast growth for this species. Then again I only have one myself and have only had her a few months.
From what I've heard periods of fasting is normal for these guys.
I raised this species from a sling to a MM in about the same time. It tends to get quite warm here during the summer. Many of my tarantulas seems to grow faster than what I hear from others.
