Hi, I love this picture. I got my son a Mexican Red Knee for Christmas...It is now my spider. LOL! He did not show much interest in it. This morning he said he wanted a scorpion and I was like "What!?" I had never thought of them as pets...then I saw this pic. Its cool. So I guess we can get one. Are they hard to care for?
One of the easiest, low-maintenance pets I've ever had. Some are more testy than others... this guy is totally calm and easy to handle with no problem, but my female is a nasty b****. Make sure you get a docile one; most are, so it's more likely than not.
Once you have the proper setup (heatlamp, high humidity - search "false bottom" setups), they don't really need much attention.
