ya they can look fairly similar. ive got a dozen or so little h flavs as well. I think the flavs are a little more rich in the yellowish color.

that's actually just on the macro setting without macro lens'. I have macro lens' too but they are kinda cheap and the picture isn't as clear as the factory Nikon lens.

the key to macro is to use the cameras factory settings without going beyond the threshold of the macro seetings (usually a green flower with a arrow for the proper distance and zoom), and a steady hand! the right lighting helps it focus easier as well.

Natural light seems to work best with a lot of insect photos, I just don't understand how people trust their fast (sometimes arboreal) T's outside in the open  Not a good situation to me. Need to get into taking photos though.

ive had very little experience with t's but I do know that putting a t in the grass outside is actually very easy. the blades of grass trip them up and make them easy to deal with. ive tried it.

I once had a t get loose in my floor about 15 years ago. I couldnt get him back into a deli cup. I was new to tarantulas and knew nothing. I contacted kelly swift and he said guide it into a big box, take the box outside and put the t in the grass and then you can easily deli cup it. Worked like a charm!!
