Bought him as LP 2 years ago but now I see people telling me it is L. klugi.
I wanna give it to another breeder(to imagine it die as a virgin breaks my heart) after proper ID.
Just to make sure they are different species and can't cross breed right? cuz they look really similar.
If you bought it as a LP from a reputable breeder/seller then there's no need to think it's a L. klugi. If you bought this from some random pet shop or unreliable seller then you cannot ID this species and genus from pictures alone. The entire Lasiodora genus/species look nearly identical to each other as there is no way to ID each species of this genus apart unless you can get DNA analysis.

You mean create hybrids? That's the taboo of the tarantula hobby and should not be practiced. Hybrids should be avoided at all costs, think rationally, where do you see any hybrids for sale? Creating hybrids is immoral and irresponsible and it actually hurts the hobby more than benefiting it. So please don't breed a species if you're not 100% certain on what it is.
Okay. I'm just curious though, if Lasiodora genus/species are so identical isn't it possible there already be hybrids out in the market tho? I mean by accident, cuz I don't think all people get it DNA tested before breeding. I myself is totally confused by these recent claims about the tarantula I've been keeping for 2 years...
