'Rust' the massive AF nhandu tripepii rehoused today. Shockingly placid throughout, which when I think about how grumpy she's been with rehousing in the past, was a welcome surprise.
Very beautiful and very blond....she hasn't been near the peroxide has she? 🤣
🤣 That one cracked me up!
Amazing t although the urts got my scared to try getting one someday .
She's one of 2 T's I've been haired by and it wasn't pleasant to say the least, but despite that this species is still probably my all time favorite. Just glorious to see in the flesh and a much more confident spider than my other nhandus that tend to bolt around a lot. She on the other hand will stand her ground, and her hairs are avoidable so long as one is gentle and takes care.

She's so pretty 😍 can't wait till my girl gets that big she's just starting to get that beautiful blonde colour n she is so entertaining, comes out of her burrow to see what I am doing when I touch her viv and would eat till she popped if I let her, she's always digging or missioning about looking for more food, my caraponensis saf is the same . (Even worse with the digging.) Great genus imo I honestly don't know why they aren't more popular, shame really as they are brilliant t's n stunning to.

I think people hear the horror stories online of how bad their urs can be/the attitudes they can have and are quickly put off from getting nhandus. The reality of course is that they are gorgeous display animals (particularly at a larger size), and that being haired/threat posed at is potentially avoidable (or at least can be minimized) should one take the proper precautions when dealing with them, and of course if one keeps general disturbances to a minimum as should be the case with any T. I have a little brachypelma boehmei named 'Jaffa' that puts this girl to absolute shame when it comes to these 'unfavorable' behaviors, should've named her demon or something! (still love you tho girl sorry for the shade)
