Looks like a MM to me ... pretty 'boxy' pedipalps yea? small debate: I think it's Eratigena atrica or "common house spider." A friend says it looks like Eratigena agrestis or "hobo spider." but don't see hobo spiders much where I live. Will post another pic with size reference and back marks
I live in northwest WA, in the USA. If you mean literally where (behind something, up in web, etc) its actually a funny story: I work at a barn, and I went to dump out a dirty trough to clean it and saw this guy floating in a death curl. I grabbed a leaf and scooped him out, plopped it onto the path, and he jumped up and unfurled. When I saw he was alive (and huge) I decided to take him home, thinking (hoping) it's an E. atrica, which I already have a female and love.
