I found him on my back porch, is it a wolf spider species? I think it is a male because he looks like he has large pedipalps and that it might be a wolf sp. because he was running around (hunting? Not in a web.) More pictures below!
Awesome! I have a male Hogna Baltimoriana, but this guy is a bit smaller and different markings, I was thinking Hogna Carolinensis. I will try to get more photos including the underside! Thank you @RepugnantOoze for the positive ID, I truly appreciate your help!
Definitely a wolf of some kind, different to the Lycosa's we get down in Australia but definitely a wolf. Whatever the species, looks like he is doing well
