I bought this baby at the local petstore. She was marked as a Costa Rican Zebra. I'm guessing she's a Red Rosy but who knows, I'm new at this. Take a guess!
Looks like a Grammostola sp Concepcion Chilean Red Zebra. That's what I have too also bought at a local petstore. They only said it's a zebra x.x so I had one heck of a time trying to figure out what sort of zebra species x.x
Thanks for your answer. I haven't noticed any pronounced knee stripes. She is only about 3 to 3 & 1/2 inches across so I am guessing that maybe she's a Chilean Copper? The other pic I posted is the same baby. She looks a little more fuzzy in that one.
I'll have to agree with Luminary. It looks very much like Chilean copper (Paraphysa scrofa) but with the lighting in these photos, the coloration seems a little off. Also, there is nothing to reference the size of the spider in either picture, but if she is 3-3.5" then she is likely an adult P. scrofa rather than an immature Grammostola sp. For sure not a Costa Rican Zebra! Should be kept the same as a G. rosea. Most say they are very docile, but the two I have kept had a little attitude and could be moody like some of the G. rosea.
