It's not a fusillae shot, but this seemed the most appropriate forum. My rescued D. diamantanensis just molted, and while it's still in the den, I'm pretty sure I'm seeing an embolus and tibial hook. Just wanted to confirm. It's a new spider for me, but that's how it goes!
Yep, that's certainly a mature male. It's pretty incredible how small they are when they mature, isn't it?
 
Well I hoped to have a bit more time with him, but he's still stunning and quite worth it! He's probably 2.5" DLS, still waiting for him to come out of the web burrow. I'll see how he's doing before I decide what to do long term--if he seems comfortable and eats from time to time I'll probably just let him live out his life of luxury, rather than sending him out to breed. 😀
