B.vagans Male

I got a good shot of a molt showing the male parts so I thought I'd post it up to help out others.
Thank you for this! :) At what size or stage of development do they need to be for it to be possible to determine gender by molt?

@ErinM31 I was able to molt sex him at about 1.5-2 inches using a micro lens to magnify the photo. He is getting much bigger now at about 3 inches and you can really tell from the molt. This was using a micro lens on my camera phone.

@ErinM31 most species can be sexed easily at 2-3" but if you have a strong enough lense and a bunch of patience, I've sexed them as small as 1.25" dls.

@bryverine Thank you for the info! Magnification should not be a problem, only hope I can recognize what I'm looking for! :embarrassed: Hopefully, some of my larger E. murinus slings (or juveniles?) will molt soon and -- assuming they're not all the same gender -- comparing the exuvia should help me see the differences. :)
