Pamphobeteus machala 3 and a quarter inches on the moult and I am starting to think my female may be a male. Any guesses ?
@NMTs what do you think please? I trust your eyes more then mine 😆
My machala is a little smaller than that and it was super hard for me to tell. I thought it looked male, then looked at the old skin weeks later and it looked pretty clearly female. So maybe let it dry out for a couple weeks and look again and the molt will turn female like mine did? 😅🤞

It looks like it could be female - I don't really see spermathecae, but I also don't see any patch of epiandrous fusillae indicating that it's male. Checking on it after it dries is a good idea, and sometimes with the big species the spermathecae take longer to develop. 🤞

Drying as we speak lol and thank you 😊 it was confusing me because I can see something there above the flap but it's not the right shape and you definitely have a better grip on this then me so thought i would ask you.
