1.0 Chilobrachys fimbriatus - 3.75" DLS

Sub-adult C. fimbriatus, 4 days post-molt. Bought as female, but appears to be male. Oh well, it happens - he's still very handsome!
I remember when these first hit the USA, and they were one of THE Ts to get, with pricey sales! Though not nearly as pricey as P mets, and I mira.

They're not so pricey now, and relatively easy to get, but I think they are still pretty dang cool...

A couple other great turnarounds were M. balfouri and H. pulchripes. Crazy expensive when introduced to the US hobby, and now just average price. I remember seeing Michael Jacobi saying the couple H. pulchripes he imported from Germany were by far the most expensive spiders he'd ever purchased, which coming from that guy says a lot. I love it when that happens!

Yeah they were so “rare”. Jacobi- a hybrid maker too…

P victori was another $$$ and I told peeps it’s a Psalmo, it will be cheap in no time. One early US breeder did the right thing and gave his entire sac of slings to various peeps for free so many would have enjoy and breed

a hybrid maker
Ah, didn't know that. Remember what species he was crossing? I bought five subadult ornata off him, a good deal for healthy spiders, but he definitely rubbed me the wrong way.

Victori are still a bit too rich for my wallet lol. Great looking spiders though.

To my knowledge he did it at least once.
