lol , i had a mouse do the same thing while being constricted by a boa years ago . completely confused the boa , he didnt know what to eat .

That is so awesome. I have seen this a few times, I really think the mother roach knows its the end of her days and spits out the brood before its really ready to be out, but they still seem to do ok. Awesome picture!

It does make sense from a survival of the species perspective... but imagine giving birth WHILE BEING EATEN. No wonder roaches have been around for so long, they're dedicated to continuing their bloodlines!

it's even more disgusting when i fed my house spider a fly...ew lol
the spider actually grabbed some of "grubs?" with its fangs..

Eeeeewwwwwwww! I've had this happen once before. I was caught between being awesomely grossed out and P.O.'d that the nymphs didn't get birthed into the right tank! lol It was an adventure getting them all back out...
Still disgusting, though. :razz:

Oftentimes fish when in death throes will release eggs, but this here seems to be something that actually works!

The brief glimpse of wing case that I can see, it looks like a lobster roach to me. The head of the roach itself is all roach, as are the babies.
