Sometimes "Orange" spot assassins (aka Mombos) will turn out yellowish.
I dont know of any true Yellow spotted (Platymeris) assassins.
Where did you see the pics?

The assassin bluefrog sent me was an Orange spot "Mombo", it was just a very light orange (aka yellow). I have seen Mombos range in color from a very "blood orange" color , to orange, to yellow. (and I am glad you are happy with the white spots bluefrog!)
And yes, there are tonz of assassin species, but as for Platymeris that are in the hobby, there are really no true yellow species. Just varations of the current three. I hope we can (some day) establish more species in captivity!

Those are gorgeous, I want to get my hands on some!

Mother killed half my young (biguttata) so I've only got two babies at the moment. That's terribly annoying.

It would be lovely to collect assassin species.

How easy are they to breed?

by far they are the best bugs I have kept, Where I live there are tiny black ones that hit you in the face at night, if these are anything like them, I would definetly pay some hardcore $$$ for them!

Congrats

They have been deemed a threat to 'native' polinators. The USDA/APHIS enforces the bans on these AFAIK.
